Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 June 2026
WearStack ("the app", "we", "us") helps runners decide what to wear based on local weather. We care about your privacy and collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the GDPR.
Who we are
WearStack is developed by Adam Martinik (Bratislava, Slovakia). For any privacy question, contact: hello@wearstack.app.
What we collect and why
Location. When you request an outfit recommendation, the app uses your device's location to fetch accurate local weather (via Apple WeatherKit). If you are signed in, the coordinates of each saved recommendation are stored in your account history so it can sync across your devices; when signed out, they stay only on your device. Your location is not shared with third parties for advertising.
Account information (optional). Signing in is optional — the app works fully without an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple or email, we store your account identifier (and, for email sign-in, your email address) to sync your data across devices. We use Supabase (hosted in the EU, Frankfurt) for authentication and storage.
Your recommendations and feedback. When signed in, the recommendations you generate and any feedback you submit are stored in your account so they sync across your devices. When signed out, this data stays only on your device. Note: recommendations created on this device before signing in are associated with the account that signs in next, so your pre-account history isn't lost — if you share a device, sign in before generating recommendations you want kept separate. WearStack also adapts its recommendations to you on-device from this feedback; this personalization is computed locally and is never sold or shared.
Usage analytics. We collect usage data (for example, how often recommendations are requested) to improve the app, using PostHog (hosted in the EU). While you are signed out it is anonymous; after you sign in it may be associated with your account identifier. You can turn analytics off anytime in Profile → Privacy.
Crash reports. We use Apple's built-in crash reporting to fix bugs. These reports are provided by Apple and contain no personal data we can identify you by.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Where your data lives
Account data and synced content are stored with Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Analytics are hosted in the EU. Weather is provided by Apple WeatherKit. Your recommendation history is also stored on your device and is included in your device backups.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Anonymous analytics are retained in aggregate. Local data on your device stays until you delete the app.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, recommendations, and feedback from our systems. You can also simply delete the app to remove all local data from your device.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you're in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Most of this you can do directly in the app (delete account); for anything else, contact us at hello@wearstack.app and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
WearStack is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Sign in with Apple
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide us with a private relay email instead of your real address. We treat it the same as any account email and never share it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
